Graduation Fever.

May 11 & 12. Graduation days! I count both because Matthew graduates May 11 and the rest of my dear loved ones at UNC graduate May 12. For some reason I am more excited for all of their graduations than my own. ha. Mine was kind of a let's-just-do-this-for-the-sake-of-doing-it-and-get-that-diploma-so-I-can-walk-down-the-aisle thing. But as I'm seeing all my peers (and my husband!!) go through what I went through last year, I'm getting much more anxious than I did with mine!

Matt is so nonchalant about everything {he ordered his cap and gown like 3 weeks ago compared to January for most students}. So I'm trying to make a big deal out of this whole thing so he gets how special it is!

On the other hand my friends seem to be pretty darn ecstatic {rightfully so}. They're taking grad pics, hosting grad parties, experiencing final moments to soak every last memory of college life up.

It all kind of makes me want to have some kind of party too. Like a please-don't-leave-me party :)

It makes sense to make graduation into an event when everyone is parting ways. Maybe it seemed silly to me because I was going to be 30 min down the road from all my friends {& also I had a summer class so it was a bit anti-climatic}.

I think it's finally going to all hit me & Matt though, once we're both done. Now that all my peers and family are going through it, I'm going to be able to officially separate my mind and sort of move on. And just in time to go back to UNC for my masters! {yay :( }

So since all these emotions are stirring in me {and apparently not so much for Matt}, I thought I'd write about it just in time for the big days to come.

I'll share with you more after all the festivities this weekend!!

And here's a little nugget from my grad weekend last year:
