This weekend has been such a refreshing one in that we've been able to spend a lot of time with loved ones.
Friday night we thought we found a slice of heaven when we went to a warehouse full of trampolines called "Defy Gravity." Matt, being as tall as he is, still couldn't touch the ceiling, to my dismay! But while we were there we got to see some of our good friends from Chapel Hill: Morgan, Andrea, and Greg {to name a few} who we miss and love so much! It was hard to catch up while we were bouncing around and jumping in foam pits, but it was the bonding experience that counted. :)
I worked Saturday morning and afternoon but then Matt and I went to church and stumbled into two of my precious bridesmaids, Ami and Margaret, and my amazingly awesome former bible study leader--Kelly!! We enjoyed sharing an hour of worship with these close friends.
After the service we headed to Cary where we hung out with our new marital mentors! Praise God that He has placed such a wonderful couple in our lives to help us grow and show us some of the ropes ;) They welcomed us into their home and shared cheesecake, hint-of-lime tosito chips {Matt somehow never heard of these and about died finding out they existed}, and a card game of spades.
After a busy Saturday, I had a busy morning preparing for Cassie's bridal shower in Chapel Hill. She's getting hitched June 2 and I'm one of the matrons of honor! It was so surreal thinking back to how I was in her shoes just a short year ago. I'm praying for her daily and hoping she's cherishing all these moments leading up to the big day.
We were so thankful for a friend-filled weekend in the midst of our chaotic lives! These little times in life--just being with people we love--are highlights to our weeks. So thank you for bearing with us friends as we struggle with our busy lives :)
